Always make sure that a backup of your data is carried out before proceeding with a software update. An installed Microsoft SQL Server 2016 SP1 or higher is prerequisite for the Corporate Planner Suite application server (CP-Server).

CP-Server on systems with a domain controller

Installing CP-Server on a system with a domain controller is not recommended. Domain controllers may significantly reduce the performance of the CP-Suite and lead to unexpected error messages.
