CP-Config

To configure the application server (CP-Server), you can use CP-Config. You will find this in the Windows Start menu à All Programs à Corporate Planning à CP-Server à CP-Config.

CP-Config consists of a number of sections in which you can make settings for various parameters. The CP-Suite configuration file (cp.config) is located by default in the following directory:

C:\ProgramData\CP Corporate Planning GmbH\CP-ApplicationServer\cp.config

Please note:

Changes in the configuration are saved automatically. For the changes to take effect, CP-Server must be restarted.

Reset the configuration

Click "Reset section" to reset each parameter in the current section to its default value.

To reset all the parameters in the entire configuration, open the window menu and select "Reset configuration".

Search content

Use the "search" button to search for a term in the CP-Config sections. You can look in the descriptions as well as in the parameter values. When you click on a result in the list, the parameter from the relevant section will be displayed.

Encrypt configuration file

All parameters in the configuration file (cp.config) are saved as plain text. If you wish to encrypt the configuration file, open the window menu and select "Encrypt configuration file".

Expert view

To switch to the CP-Config expert view, press the key combination Ctrl+Alt+X. In this view, all the hidden parameters, which should not normally be changed, are displayed as well. Please only change these parameters after having consulted Corporate Planning Support and an experienced administrator.
