SSL

To establish a secure connection with the CP-HttpModule, you can encrypt the data using SSL. To do so, in CP-Config, open the the Connection settings page and change the CP-HttpModule address to SSL protocoll, for instance, to https://myserver:8733/. You must also enter the fingerprint of a valid SSL certificate from the local machine certificate store.

You will find the SSL certificate fingerprint in the Windows certificate settings. Open the "Personal" tab and double-click to select the desired certificate. In the Certificate Information, open the Details tab and select the thumbprint parameter, copy its value and, back in CP-Config, insert it in the SSL certificate fingerprint field. Then restart the application server (CP-Server).

Important:

Only officially signed SSL certificates will be accepted. You can obtain a signed certificate from one of the official certificate authorities online.
