In the column editor you can add new columns and edit or delete existing columns. To open the column editor for a particular column, right-click that column and then click "Edit". The following options are available, some of which depend on the column type:
Selecting a column
Select the column you wish to edit in the list or by using the "previous" or "next" buttons. To create a new column next to the selected column, click the "New column left" or the "New column right" button as desired. To delete the selected column, click "remove".
Column headers Depending on the column type (see below), you can define the column header by selecting the following variables from the list:
<<Data stream>> inserts the name of the data stream or analysis row <<Data stream abbreviated>> inserts the name of the data stream or analysis row, abbreviated <<Business year>> displays the current business year (e.g. "2019") <<Business year, abbreviated>> displays the short form of the current business year (e.g. "19") <<Time span>> active time span (e.g. "January - December 2019") <<Time span, months>> active time span, months only (e.g. "January - December") <<Time span, months, abbreviated>> active time span, months only in short form (e.g. "Jan - Dec") <<Date>> displays the current date (e.g. "01/08/2019") <<Time>> displays the current time (e.g. "1:16 PM") <<Report name>> displays the saved report name <<File name>> name of the data source <<User name>> name of the current user <<Field property>> displays the selected field property <<Column>> displays the column number <<Sum sign>> displays the sum sign <<Average sign>> displays the average sign <<Delta sign>> displays the delta sign
Time span In the time span definition you have the following options:
Currencies If more than one currency has been defined for the underlying data source, you can display the values of each column in one of the available currencies.
Data type The "standard", "autocolumn" and "calculating column" data types are available:
The autocolumn and the calculating column are described in detail in the sections below.
The available options for defining the columns vary according to the table type or analysis. All global options refer to the data stream and currency settings defined for the table type. To make an individual selection, turn off the "Global" switch and select the desired reference for the autocolumn. The following column types are available:
Column type: Data stream Data stream columns display the values of the selected data stream for the selected time span. Under Display mode you can specify whether the values should be displayed as numbers, bars or a combination of the two. If you wish, you can also define a time shift. The "Relative shares" option displays the values in the column as ratio references to the root field. For the "Result in active time span" option, specify whether the sum, the initial value or the last value of the active time span should be shown.
Column type: Analysis row Analysis row columns display the absolute or relative values provided by the analysis type and the reference stream and comparison stream. Under Display mode you can specify whether the values should be displayed as numbers, bars or a combination of the two. Select the time span and, if desired, define a year shift for the reference stream and/or the comparison stream.
Column type: Field property Field property columns display the selected field property. You can choose from the field name, field description, account descriptor, unit, field number, field type and calculation type.
Column type: Cell comment Cell comment columns display all the existing cell comments in the selected data stream and time span. If you wish, you can also define a time shift.
Column type: 80/20 Analysis 80/20 analysis columns display an 80/20 analysis of the field structure for the selected data stream and time span. Select the ABC columns to be included. Set the boundaries of the categories A, B and C for the reference field.
ABC columns Tick the desired check boxes to select which columns should be displayed in the 80/20 analysis. Use the radio button to specify which column should be the reference for calculating categories A, B and C. The categories A, B and C refer to the boundaries that have been set for that column.
Defining boundaries To define the absolute or the relative boundaries, specify the values for category A and category B. The categories A, B and C are calculated according to the following rule:
Cumulation method In the "Cum. method" list, specify the sorting order for the reference column. You can choose from descending order, ascending order or according to the structure.
