Local Backups

   

Go to the Data source overview and select the data sources for which a local backup should be made. Click the "create local backup" button.

Enter a description of the backup, if you wish, and select the storage location. With each local backup, a temporary server-side backup is created. If you wish to keep the server-side backup, select the "Keep server-side backup" option.

The data source will then be saved in the specified directory with a unique name consisting of the database name, the date it was created and the user name (e.g. E_Training_20190723144352_root.bak).

 

 

Restoring a local backup

Click the "restore local backup" button in the data source overview.

You will then be taken step by step through the restoration process.

 

1. Select backups:

Select the desired backup using the "add backups" button icon_SicherungHinzufuegen and click "Open". You can select and add as many backups as you wish. Then click "Next".

 

 

2. Select the type of restoration to be carried out:

In the dialogue which opens, specify whether you wish to restore an existing data source or whether you wish to save the data source  with a new name in your folder structure. Click "Next".

 

In the next dialogue, check your settings. To restore the backup, click "Finish", or click "Edit" to change any settings. icon_bearbeiten.

 

Please note:

If the specified data source already exists, a warning to that effect will appear. If you overwrite an existing data source, all the data of the overwritten data source will be lost.
