Audit

Since the recording function (auditing) processes personal data, please check the data protection requirements in your company.

System audit

Select "Enable audit" to keep a permanent record of all the changes carried out in the CP-Control Center. To display and analyse the changes, open the CP-Control Center and, in the Application domain function category, select the Audit overview function.

Data audit

Select "Enable data audit" to keep a permanent record of all the changes to data in the associated data sources (Standard, CP-Finance, CP-Cons). For each change to data, depending on the data source type, the following information will be recorded:

•

user name

•

time span

•	data stream

•	organisation

•	field / account / logic block input / currency

•	all alterations relevant to the consolidation process (master data, structure, administration, participating interests, individual financial statements)

All changes will be written to the administration database specified on the Database page. Select "Save auditing in external source" for the changes to be written to the database specified there. Regardless of which database is used, the changes are always written to the dbo.AuditTrailDatas table.

The changes to the data can be retrieved with an SQL query:

•	Id: serial number

•	TimeStamp: time at which the entry was made

•	Module: at present always "CP-Server"

•	Account: user account

•	Category: function where the change of data was made

•	Database: logical database name

•	Structure: input element type (field, account, etc.)

•	Organisation: name of the organisation (CP-Finance only)

•	Level: data stream

•	StartDate and EndDate: time span

•	Details: additional information

External database:

The "Save auditing in external source" option saves the changes to the data in the database specified here.

To change the connection settings, click on the "..." button on the right. Then configure the connection to the database server. If the database specified here does not exist, it will be created automatically on starting CP-Server.
